Why explore entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and social innovation?

Everybody needs to be exposed to entrepreneurship through exploring your own business ideas, applying an entrepreneurial mindset as an employee, and/or for social good.  Build adaptability as jobs and careers continue to change, become a desirable, highly the ‘sought after employee or entrepreneur, with an understanding of future employer and workforce requirements.

Who is it for?

For primary school, high school, Vocational Education and Training (VET) or Higher Education students – 21st Century capabilities such as Communication and Influence, Digital and Social, Learning and Mastery, Intelligence and Imagination and 21st Century STEM are important for future job success whatever the pathway chosen.

Who is involved?

Work alongside entrepreneurs, business and industry leaders, corporates and government agencies, startups and STEM practitioners to identify and solve real world problems that may have a local or global impact.  Meet mentors and build your networks, apply new discovery technologies being motivated and inspired about future possibilities and opportunities including entrepreneurship – the #1 choice for career resilience.  The program provides an excellent opportunity to engage alumni, staff and your broader community.

How is the program run?

Using a team based approach, participants choose the area they would like to explore and there are different options for delivery including:

  • Be Somebody Day (1 day)
  • 2 day bootcamp + a pitch session a week later
  • 5 x half days (weekly or fortnightly to fit into a term or semester) + pitch
  • 10 x double lessons (weekly or fortnightly to fit into a term or semester) + pitch

There is the opportunity for ‘Be Somebody’ to become a program of work over a semester with assessment tasks and outcomes recognised against curriculum.
